This new health care facility serves the North Bay and Parry District, co-locating all medical practices from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit into one main office. Construction of this new two-storey 60,000 SF facility consisted of a combination of structural steel and glulam timber framing with shallow cast-in-place foundations and underground venting. The building exterior features a unique mix of glulam and aluminum curtain walls, wood composite and zinc panels, and specialty architectural stone.
This project was the award recipient of the 2018 Best of Canada Award from Canadian Interiors Magazine and the 2018 Northern Ontario Excellence Award from WoodWORKS! Wood Design Awards.
