Matheson brought a five-storey affordable housing project to life for NRB Modular Solutions. The prefabricated multi-residential building development was a part of the City of Toronto's Modular Housing Initiative, and HousingTO 2020-2030 Action Plan.
At its core, the main building structure comprises of 64 individual residential units thoughtfully integrated with essential amenities. These include a meticulously secured main entrance, communal spaces such as a managerial office, tenant support facilities, a first aid room, staff lounge, and waste storage areas.
Additionally, the infrastructure encompasses essential features like a commercial-grade kitchen and pantry, a spacious dining area, a cozy lounge, and a convenient common elevator.
Beyond the architectural scope, the site development plan features a robust concrete foundation supplemented by strategically positioned concrete pads, ramps, and pergolas. Furthermore, the outdoor amenities are designed to facilitate resident convenience and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal, with provisions for short-term bike parking, secure bike storage facilities, inviting patios, and meticulously curated landscaping to complement and optimize the operational functionality of the building.
