This project involved upgrading one of Durham Region’s lakeside pumping stations to increase capacity, efficiency and control including new SCADA integration. Construction works included the removal of existing equipment and installation of two new bar screens with multiple pumps and corresponding electrical, mechanical and control systems. A 3000kW generator with weatherproof enclosure was added for redundant power. Additional upgrades to HVAC systems and monitoring instrumentation were also performed.
