Matheson is transforming 56,350 sq. ft. of an existing facility into a modern, efficient workplace through the Peterborough Police Services Expansion Project, while maintaining the security and continuity of active police operations. Beginning with extensive interior demolition and selective structural removals, our team is preparing the building for reconfigured spaces, upgraded mechanical and electrical systems, and new interior finishes. Working within an operational, secure facility requires careful coordination of site access, protection measures, and construction activities. A two-phase approach allows completed areas to be occupied before work moves into the vacated spaces, supporting continuity throughout construction.
The redevelopment will create improved offices, training and fitness facilities, meeting spaces, and staff amenities, complemented by a new exterior courtyard and site improvements. Through coordinated construction and staged occupancy, Matheson is delivering a more functional and connected facility that supports day-to-day police work and the service’s long-term needs.
