TJX Marshalls Fitout

This project was located on the lower level at the North end of the Markville Shopping Centre. Formerly the Sears building, this large space was renovated to reduce half its size in order to implement additional parking areas as well as a loading dock. Matheson was selected to complete the interior fit-up for the TJX Marshalls branded commercial retail unit and the exterior work providing store branding as well as modifications to existing entrances. Additionally the site required modifications to existing services to provide a fully functioning store.

Interior scope of work included installation of plumbing, modifications to existing HVAC and sprinkler lines, installation of new electrical and fire alarm services, relocation of existing electrical panels, construction of drywall partitions complete with plywood backing for cart bumpers, installation of new LVT, tile, and carpet floors, installation of wall coverings, painting, and installation of furniture for the new store. Exterior scope of work included relocation of existing sprinkler lines, reconstruction of concrete pavement, installation of aluminum panels ready to receive store signage, and blocking off existing abandoned doors.
