This contract was for Phase II of the 40,000 SF strip mall redevelopment located on York Mills Road, east of the Don Valley Parkway. This project included a 50+ year old building update along with the addition of several new buildings.
The Parkwoods Village building being updated had not been renovated since the 1960’s. The main building required a controlled demolition performed adjacent to several attached operating storefronts which required additional mold remediation and asbestos abatement. The addition of 3 new standalone steel buildings to the strip mall required installation of complete new site services including fire hydrants, hydro boxes etc. stormwater and sewer systems as well as repaved parking lots, new sidewalks, curbs and landscaping. The new building tenants included Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Hortons, A&W, Chick-N-Joy, Subway, Eggsmart, Wind Mobile and Dental Office.
